Integrations: Analytics

Google Analytics 4
integration

Connect GA4 and Passionfruit joins sessions, key events and revenue to the pages and queries behind them, including traffic that arrives from AI engines.

How the Google Analytics 4 integration works

  1. 01Connect with your Google account

Sign in with Google and choose the GA4 property. Access is read-only.

  2. 02Map your key events

We confirm which key events and revenue fields count as conversions for your business: orders, demos, trials or leads.

  3. 03Join it to search data

Landing pages are matched to Search Console queries and AI referral sources, so revenue can be traced to the query that earned it.

  4. 04Measure every change

Each shipped action is annotated, and its effect on traffic, key events and revenue is tracked against the period before.

Key benefits

Revenue by query and page
See which queries and pages bring orders, demos and pipeline, not just sessions.
AI traffic as its own channel
Referrals from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and others are identified and reported next to organic search.
Work ranked by what it earns
Action items are prioritized by the revenue and key events on the pages they touch.
Proof for every change
Before-and-after results for each shipped action, from your own data.

Data and access

Read-only
Passionfruit reads reports through the GA4 Data API. It cannot change your property, tags or settings.
Aggregated data
We read reporting data such as sessions, events and revenue by page and channel, not individual user records.
Revoke any time
Remove access from your Google account or GA4 property settings whenever you choose.

Questions

Does Passionfruit change our GA4 setup?

No. The connection is read-only. If tracking needs fixing, we tell you what to change and why.

How do you identify AI traffic?

By referral source. Visits from AI engines such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Claude are grouped into their own channel, next to organic search.

We have data from before GA4. Can you use it?

Passionfruit works from GA4. Older history can be used for context if you export it, but measurement runs on GA4.
