Integrations: CMS
WordPress
integration
Connect WordPress and action items become posts, pages and on-page updates prepared inside the themes and plugins you already run.
How the WordPress integration works
01Connect your site
Connect with a WordPress user and application password you create for Passionfruit.
02Read your content
Posts, pages and their metadata are read so recommendations match what is live.
03Prepare the change
New posts, refreshes, titles, meta descriptions and internal links are prepared in WordPress.
04Publish your way
Your team publishes on Intelligence; on Managed Service our team does, automatically only with your consent.
Key benefits
- Works with your SEO plugin
- Titles and descriptions are set where your existing SEO plugin expects them.
- Refreshes without the busywork
- Slipping posts updated in place, keeping their URLs and history.
- Internal links that hold up
- Links added to the pages that need them, inside your content.
Data and access
- Your team stays in control
- Access is granted from your WordPress account and can be revoked there at any time.
- Self-serve on Intelligence
- On Intelligence, your team uses the connection to move action items into WordPress faster, and publishes on its own schedule.
- Managed on Managed Service
- On Managed Service, our team handles publishing and updates for you. Changes are published automatically only with your consent; otherwise they wait for your approval.
Questions
What permissions does the WordPress user need?
Editor-level access is usually enough. We do not need administrator rights.
Do you install plugins?
No. The connection uses WordPress’s built-in REST API.
