About the client

A direct-to-consumer sneaker brand from India with its own original designs, selling men's and women's collections through its own store.

The brand and product had a clear identity. The open question for search was conversion. The site already had a large footprint, more than 320,000 impressions a month, but that visibility was not turning into clicks or revenue at the rate it should. Every point of click-through left on the table was demand the brand had already earned and was not collecting.

The challenge

01

Impressions weren't turning into clicks

The site ranked widely, with more than 320,000 monthly impressions, but at an 8.5% click-through rate. The visibility existed; a large share of it never became a single visit.

02

Collection pages had lost ground

Key collection pages had dropped queries and carried thin on-page content, so the men's and women's sneaker collections were under-converting the demand already reaching them.

03

Pages competing with each other, and some missing

Multiple URLs competed for the same queries, and de-indexed pages had quietly fallen out of search. Both split the ranking signal and capped how far the channel could grow.

What we did

Win back lost queries, make the pages easier for search engines to read, end internal competition, then convert the impressions the site was already earning.

  1. Recover lost queries

    Men's collection clicks +46.1%

Re-integrated dropped queries into under-performing collection pages and added footer content and FAQs, rebuilding the visibility those pages had lost and giving them more to rank on than a product grid. Both the men's and women's collections began winning back clicks within the month.

  2. Roll out schema

    Rich-result eligibility on key pages

Deployed Collection, Product and FAQ schema across collection and blog pages. That made the pages eligible for rich results and gave search engines a clearer read of what each one offered, and the blog's discovery surface grew fastest.

  3. Merge competing URLs

    Average position held steady

Merged URLs targeting the same queries into single, stronger pages and recovered pages that had been de-indexed. That ended the internal competition splitting the ranking signal, and average position held steady while clicks grew. Fewer, stronger pages also gave the on-page work one clear target per query.

  4. Convert the impressions

    Meta and on-page rewrites live

Rewrote meta titles and descriptions, tightened on-page copy and added product widgets across blog posts, so the existing impression base turned into more clicks and more revenue-driving visits. On the men's collection, click-through rose from 1.2% to 2.0%, up 67%.

The outcome

Organic search is now a high click-through channel for the brand, with AI platforms a second measured source of revenue. The same recovery, schema and conversion routine is set to roll out across the full catalog.

Why it worked

Impressions barely moved; the gain came from converting visibility the brand already had. Recovering lost queries and consolidating URLs strengthened the pages that ranked, schema made them clearer in results, and on-page work turned the same impressions into far more visits. That is a repeatable routine, not a one-month traffic spike.
