About the client

An Indian direct-to-consumer menswear brand selling premium casual and workwear: shirts, t-shirts, cargos, jeans, polos and seasonal styles, priced in the accessible-premium band. It sells through its own site and a retail footprint across several Indian cities.

The brand and product were strong. The gap was organic search: the collection pages that should carry category demand ranked thinly and converted below their potential, and some high-intent searches had no page to land on at all.

The challenge

01

Collection pages were thin and under-ranked

The pages meant to carry category demand (t-shirts, cargo, jeans and linen shirts) had sparse content and little topical depth. They ranked below the fold for their own head terms.

02

Traffic arrived, but revenue leaked

Where collections did pull clicks, weak product-to-query alignment and missing conversion signals meant sessions didn't convert. Rankings weren't turning into transactions.

03

Whole segments had no page to rank

High-intent demand around youth styling, seasonal occasions and specific categories had no dedicated landing page. For those searches, the brand simply wasn't in the results.

What we did

Deepen collection content, structure it for search, route internal link authority to the pages that convert, and launch pages for demand the site couldn't reach.

  1. Deepen

    Jeans collection revenue +250%

Wrote keyword-rich content for the t-shirt, cargo, shirt and jeans collection pages, giving each category the topical depth to rank for its own head terms. Shirts collection revenue rose 37% in the month.

  2. Structure

    Checks shirts: up from zero

Implemented FAQ schema on the shirts, jeans and checks-shirts collections, widening eligibility for rich results and People Also Ask placements. The checks-shirts collection went from zero to measurable results.

  3. Link

Redistributed link equity site-wide, feeding blog authority into collection pages through contextual, exact-match internal links. Crawl priority and rankings rose together on the collections that received the links.

  4. Launch

705 key events on a new page

Built a new youth-styling collection page and a Valentine's Day seasonal page for demand the site couldn't rank for. The youth-styling page grew from 11 to 164 clicks within weeks of launch (+1,391%), and the seasonal page added new revenue from a standing start.

The outcome

Collection pages are now the brand's primary organic growth driver, ranking and converting across every core category. The same system carries into Holi demand and each season after it.

Why it worked

The record month didn't come from one lucky page. Deeper content earned rankings, schema widened the search surface, internal links pushed authority to the pages that convert, and new pages opened demand the site had been missing. Each layer repeats across the catalog.
