About the client

A direct-to-consumer wellness brand selling supplements aimed at specific health goals, from digestion to energy to healthy aging, with a growing catalog.

The brand and catalog were ready, but organic search barely registered: at the start of the program the site ranked for just 99 keywords. The opportunity was to turn the health questions buyers search into discovery, and that discovery into customers.

The challenge

01

Organic search was close to empty

At launch the site ranked for just 99 keywords. For a catalog spanning gut, brain, muscle and longevity, search was barely a channel at all.

02

Health questions went unanswered

Buyers research supplements through specific questions about pH balance, probiotics, creatine and brain health. The brand had little content built to be the answer to those searches.

03

Indexing issues capped visibility

Deindexed pages, indexing blocks across collection URLs, and weak meta and internal linking meant even existing pages couldn't earn the clicks their rankings deserved.

What we did

Publish for the questions buyers ask, fix what blocks search, link readers to products, and turn a growing impression base into revenue.

  1. Publish

    Blog clicks +583%

Built a content program answering the health questions buyers actually search, from pH balance to creatine to brain health. Clicks to the 66 tracked blog pages rose from 115 to 785 quarter over quarter.

  2. Fix

    6 collection pages reindexed

Recovered a nearly deindexed probiotics page from near-zero impressions and cleared indexing blocks across six collection pages, putting the catalog back in front of search. Collection clicks rose 50% on a stable impression base.

  3. Link

    Product-page click-through 4x

Built systematic internal links from blog content to product pages with commercial anchors, sending readers on with buying intent. Click-through on the creatine product page rose from 2.5% to 10% (4x), and on the longevity product from 1.7% to 7.7% (4.5x).

  4. Convert

    Non-branded clicks +70%

Rewrote meta titles and added FAQ schema across high-impression, low-click blog pages. Non-branded clicks rose from 691 to 1,175 quarter over quarter (+70%), and non-branded revenue grew 147% month over month.

The outcome

Organic search has gone from a near-empty channel to a measured driver of non-branded discovery and revenue, and AI answer engines are starting to send visitors as the content base grows.

Why it worked

Publishing built the footprint, technical fixes put the catalog back in the index, and internal links carried readers toward products. Meta and schema work then turned impressions into clicks and revenue. Each layer made the next one count.
